if you have recently purchased the doom collectors edition and are experiencing some problems with your computer playing the game and it says that it cannot find the DPLAY.dll file? aggrravating as hell, right? well here's a simple step-by-step way to combat that:

step 1: go here.

step 2: after you download that file and save it to your desktop, use some sort of program that will inzip the file for you. if you don't have one, i suggest winRAR.

step 3: after you unzip the file, you will see 2 files. the one we want is the one that has 2 gears together. now, go to Computer, Local Disk C: (or whatever disk space your game is saved onto) and open the DOOM file. open it up and click and drag the dplay.dll file so that it is in each of the three doom game folders.
